Tripoli – A training course concluded in Tunis, the capital. It was for the security team of the Libyan Ports Company. The course covered auditing and inspection. Security officers from port facilities participated. These included officers from Zwara, Tripoli, Al-Khums, and Derna ports.
The company stated the course lasted eight continuous days. It met the requirements of the ISPS Code for ship and port security. This aligns with the Libyan Ports Company’s 2026 training plan. A training team delivered the lectures. The team included Captain Haitham Damak, Sameh Souissi, and Engineer Marwan Hafeza. At the end of the course, certified certificates were distributed.
The Libyan Consul in Tunisia, Fadel Al-Gharriou, attended the ceremony. The course was organized by Al-Olum Company for Education, Training, and Human Resources Development. It was in cooperation with Yassin Marine Services Center. Yassin Marine Services is a specialized center. It is accredited by the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority.
