Al-Kufra – The Salam Paths Brigade, part of the Libyan Army’s Ground Forces Command, carried out a security operation in Al-Kufra targeting a hideout used by drug traffickers. The operation led to the seizure of more than 1.3 million narcotic pills, which the brigade described as dangerous types.
The raid sparked an exchange of gunfire with smugglers. Three brigade members were injured in the clash. Several suspects believed to be involved in smuggling were detained during the operation.
This action is part of ongoing efforts by the brigade to combat drug trafficking networks inside Al-Kufra and along the border regions, aiming to strengthen security and stability in the city and surrounding areas.
