Saddam Haftar in His Meeting with the Elders and Youth of Sebha: The Stability of the South Is the Key to the Stability of the Nation

The city of Sebha witnessed a meeting between the Deputy General Commander of the Armed Forces, First Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, and a number of elders, tribal leaders, and youth, as part of the “Journey of Loyalty” that includes various cities and regions across Libya.

During the meeting, Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar conveyed the greetings of the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and expressed his appreciation for the national role of the tribes of Sebha in preserving social unity and maintaining the security and stability of the south.

The Deputy General Commander highlighted the national initiative “Together for the South” launched by the General Commander, emphasizing that it represents a real action plan aimed at alleviating the suffering of residents and improving the living conditions of citizens in all cities and villages of the south. He stressed that this stems from the belief that the stability of the south is the key to the stability of the nation.

He added that the “Together for the South” initiative seeks to address long-standing crises and create job opportunities that will enable southern youth to build their future in their homeland. He also explained that the initiative forms part of the General Command’s Vision 2030, which is based on the principles that security is the foundation of development, justice in the distribution of opportunities and services is the basis of stability, and balanced development is the path to unity and progress of the nation.
