Sebha – Sebha University and Tunis El Manar University have signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing academic partnership and the exchange of research expertise between the two institutions.
The signing took place today, Monday, in the presence of the President of Sebha University, Masoud Al-Raqeeq, and the President of Tunis El Manar University, Moez Chafra, affirming the importance of regional cooperation in developing higher education and scientific research.
The agreement aims for joint supervision of scientific research and the exchange of professors and students, in addition to developing joint academic programs that contribute to raising the quality of education and enhancing opportunities for scientific innovation, reflecting the spirit of Arab cooperation and the integration of scientific capabilities between universities.
Also attending the signing ceremony were the Director of the International Cooperation Office at Sebha University, Mohammed Ahmid Mehrez, and the Vice President for International Relations at Tunis El Manar University, Monia Najar, who both affirmed that the agreement opens new horizons for exchanging academic expertise and developing the research capabilities of students and faculty members.
Tunis El Manar University is considered one of the most prestigious Tunisian universities, distinguished by a long academic history and a prominent scientific standing at both the Arab and African levels. This step comes within Sebha University’s vision of opening up to regional and international universities and attracting academic expertise to support scientific and research development projects in southern Libya, thereby strengthening its position as a scientific center that contributes to community development and builds bridges of cooperation between peoples.
