Sebha – A criminal court in Sebha has convicted four defendants in a 2024 premeditated murder case and sentenced them to death. The court handed down capital punishment to the first and fourth defendants as principal offenders. The second and third defendants received death sentences as accomplices who aided and abetted the crime.
Prosecutors charged the four men—identified only by their initials—with the killing of Ibrahim Faraj Abdel Jawad. The court also ordered the verdict to be published in Sebha’s city center, Hajara, and Airport neighborhoods. In addition, the ruling must be printed twice at the convicts’ expense in the newspapers Al-Adala, Al-Sabah, and Fassaniya.
