Sabha – The Office of the Attorney General announced Saturday that, as part of an investigation into the use of banned agricultural pesticides, the Public Order Prosecution in Sabha conducted inspections at 44 shops across the municipalities of Sabha, Al-Shati, Ubari, Murzuq, Traghan, Al-Sharqiya, and Zuwaila.
The inspections revealed that 17 shops were trading in banned pesticides. Prosecutors have ordered the arrest of seven individuals caught in possession of the prohibited substances. Authorities also closed the shops they managed and seized the banned materials.
