Benghazi – The Al-Awda International Film Festival announced news. Director Mohammed Al-Musalli was selected. He will serve as a jury member for the tenth session. The jury includes elite filmmakers from the Arab world. This highlights a growing Libyan presence. It shows their involvement in international art forums.
The current session’s slogan is “Awaiting Return.. Return.” It is named after the late artist and director Mohammed Bakri. This honors his career. It also recognizes his significant contributions. He supported Palestinian cinema and its national causes.
The Palestinian Film Forum organizes the festival. This is in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. Other partners include the “Sheffield” Solidarity Campaign. The Al-Awda Foundation for Culture and Arts also participates. Palestine Vanguard Channel in Gaza is involved. The General Union of Palestinian Women is also a partner. These cultural partnerships aim to promote cinema. This cinema is committed to humanitarian issues.
The festival management affirmed its appreciation. They thanked all partners and participating directors. They emphasized their continued support for national causes.
