Sirte – The Education Monitoring Office in the municipality of Sirte has begun distributing secondary school textbooks for the 2025/2026 academic year. This is part of the office’s preparations for the launch of the new school year and to ensure that the curriculum reaches all educational institutions on time.
The head of the Media Department at the office, Mahmoud Amsib, explained to the Libyan News Agency that the committee in charge of the office’s warehouses began this Thursday morning to hand over to the principals of public and private secondary schools in the municipality their allocations of textbooks that have arrived at the main warehouses in Sirte, in preparation for their distribution to students.
Amsib noted that the distribution process is proceeding according to an organized plan supervised by a follow-up committee assigned by the office, with the aim of ensuring fairness in the distribution of the curriculum among schools and addressing any potential shortages in some subjects.
He added that new shipments of textbooks for the basic education stage will continue to arrive successively from the Ministry of Education’s warehouses to the city of Sirte in the coming days, stressing the office’s commitment to completing the distribution before the official start of school to ensure the educational process runs smoothly and on schedule.
