The Southern Tripoli Court of Appeals rejected urgent appeal submitted by the former Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, against the decree of appointing a new chairman of the Corporation.
The Circuit Court refused to consider the urgent part of the lawsuit, since more than two months had passed since the appointment of the current NOC board of directors.
The Administrative Judicial Department of the Southern Tripoli Court of Appeal accepted, in terms of the matter, the lawsuit of the removed NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla and his fellow members of the removed board of directors, against the decree, confirming its jurisdiction to consider the case.
Last July, outgoing Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, removed Sanalla and appointed Farhat bin Qadara as Chairman of the NOC Board of Directors.
Sanalla filed an appeal before the judiciary against the decree to remove him, as a decision was issued to postpone the ruling in the case on July 27, then it was decided to postpone it again on August 17, and it was reserved for judgment on the 7th of September.
