Al-Qubba – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, received the 2024 annual report of the Administrative Control Authority from the Authority’s head, Mr. Khaled Najm, at his office in the city of Al-Qubba, in the presence of the directors of general departments and offices.
A statement from the Administrative Control Authority’s media office explained that the report included a presentation of all observations and violations committed by entities subject to the Authority’s oversight, and the referral of the accused to financial disciplinary boards and the Supreme Disciplinary Council, as well as the referral of criminal offenses to the Public Prosecution, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 20 of 2013 regarding the establishment of the Administrative Control Authority.
During the meeting, the Authority’s head also discussed the proposed amendment to the law concerning the salaries of the Authority’s members and employees, which was submitted last July and referred to the legislative committee. The Speaker of the House promised to expedite its discussion and present it to the House of Representatives for its issuance, which would serve as an incentive for the Authority’s members and employees to exert more effort in performing their duties.
Mr. Khaled Najm expressed his thanks and gratitude to Counselor Aguila Saleh for his efforts in supporting the Authority and enabling it to perform its mandated tasks, affirming the Authority’s commitment to controlling violations and achieving justice.
Counselor Aguila Saleh praised the Authority’s diligent work in uncovering violations and referring the accused to the competent authorities, stressing that the goal of regulatory bodies is to apply laws and regulations and promote integrity, far from any motives of revenge or retribution, which contributes to curbing the spread of corruption within state institutions.
