The High Council of State (HCS) Head, Khaled al-Mishri, announced Monday results of HCS’ vote on the candidates for sovereign positions in Libya.
Al-Mishri pointed out that the vote resulted in the approval of 28 candidates for each of the Presidency of the Audit Bureau, the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), and the Undersecretary of the National Anti-Corruption Authority.
The Council approved the names of 7 candidates for the position of Head of the Audit Bureau, 7 candidates for the position of Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Authority, 7 candidates for the position of Deputy Governor of CBL, 7 candidates for the position of HNEC Head.
This step, by HCS, comes within the file of the holders of sovereign positions, in preparation for sending those names to the House of Representatives (HoR) to select and approve one of them.
