Syrian NGO: Fighters transfer operations between Syria and Libya halted

The process of transferring and exchanging Syrian mercenaries from and into Libya has currently stopped, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said today.

The Syrian NGO, in a statement, confirmed that hundreds of fighters are waiting to be deported from Libya or to be allowed to go to Syria.

The Observatory did not reveal the reason for halting the transfer of mercenaries. However, the move notably comes in conjunction with the rising international support for the action plan of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee to remove mercenaries and foreign forces from the country, in coordination with the relevant local and international parties.
