UN Deputy SRSG, Raisedon Zenenga, met with former President of the Tripoli-based High Council of State (HCS), Abdelrahman Al-Swehli, according to UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily said he met with High Council of State (HCS) President Khaled Mishri in Tripoli, where they “discussed ways to overcome the remaining issues with the legal framework for elections prepared by 6+6 Committee.”
UN envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, has called on “all Libyan stakeholders draw lessons from the pitfalls and mistakes of 2021 and 2022, and refrain from any actions, including unilateral or non-inclusive decisions, that could precipitate a crisis and divert attention from the common goal of enabling successful elections.”
