Tahala – The mayor of Tahala, Hassan Sarami, said that floodwaters have mixed with sewage in the 50 Housing Units neighborhood. The municipality is waiting for equipment to begin water removal operations.
Sarami told Fawasel platform that electricity is gradually being restored to affected neighborhoods.
He added that three neighborhoods in the municipality were flooded by rainwater. Aid has arrived from the municipalities of Al-Gharifa and Ubari and is being distributed to displaced families.
A medical convoy from the Center for Medicine, Emergency and Support, as well as Sebha Medical Center, has also reached the local health center.
