The General Electricity Company announces raising the state of maximum emergency to confront the repercussions of weather fluctuations

Tripoli – The General Electricity Company announced it has raised its operational readiness to the highest level. This is a precaution against any potential impact on the electrical grid. This is due to anticipated weather fluctuations.

The company stated in a press release that its board of directors directed all technical departments, maintenance teams, and emergency crews across various regions. They are to activate rapid response plans and enhance field deployment. A special focus is on the Western region. This area is expected to experience weather fluctuations on Sunday and Monday.

The statement clarified that weather forecasts indicate the Western region may be exposed to active winds. These winds will range from 60 to 90 km/h. This could negatively affect the performance of some public grid components.

The company affirmed in its statement that it has dedicated all its technical, logistical, and human resources. Monitoring and emergency rooms will operate around the clock. This is to track developments in real-time. It also ensures quick handling of any emergency malfunctions. This maintains service stability and continuous power supply.

The company urged citizens to adhere to safety guidelines. They should not attempt to directly handle any malfunctions or damaged electrical equipment. This could pose a serious risk. The company called for immediate reporting through official, approved channels. This enables specialized teams to intervene quickly and safely.

The General Electricity Company reiterated its full commitment to its duty towards citizens. It wished safety for all.
