Traghen – The city of Traghen hosted, on Saturday, the regional forum for members of the Libyan National Movement party for the Southern Region, held at Libya Hall in Jannat Al-Khair Park under the slogan “The National Vision for Resolving the Political Crisis in Libya.”
Naji Al-Sufi, director of the Fezzan 24 Traghen platform, affirmed in a special statement to The Libyan News Agency that the forum reflects the National Movement’s commitment to activating its political and societal role in the south, stressing the importance of unifying the Libyan ranks to face the current challenges the country is going through.
The event witnessed a wide and diverse attendance, including members of the National Movement in the Southern Region, along with the Mayor of Traghen Municipality, a number of the city’s elders and notables, in addition to those interested in public and political affairs, which gave the forum a unifying national character and a message emphasizing the importance of solidarity for Libya.
The discussion sessions addressed ways to overcome the political division and its effects on living and social conditions. The participants also focused on the importance of restoring independent national decision-making and building a unified and strong state.
The forum announced a set of national positions that reflect the National Movement’s vision for the next phase, most notably supporting the Libyan Arab Armed Forces and ensuring their unification under a single national authority to protect the state and its unity. It also emphasized that the solution in Libya must be purely Libyan, stemming from the will of the citizens through a comprehensive national dialogue, and rejecting any external settlement, interference, or settlement policies that could lead to dangerous demographic changes.
The participants also stressed the adoption of peaceful struggle and the unification of the national front as a methodology for achieving national goals, and enhancing communication between various national components to build a common vision that ends division and promotes stability.
The forum concluded by affirming that the key to Libya’s stability lies in national unity and self-reliance in political decision-making, free from any external interference, stressing that the next stage requires a comprehensive national alignment to protect sovereignty and build a safe and stable future.
