Israeli political analyst Shlomo Ganor said there are continuous meetings and previous secret contacts between the Israeli government and the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), commenting on the meeting held in Italy between Israel and GNU foreign ministers.
Ganor said in televised statements this meeting is the biggest evidence of the mutual desire between the two parties to complete the peace treaty, and it is tantamount to coming out from the secret to the open.
The news surprised – also – the Israeli circles, and this is no longer a secret, but has become a reality, according to Ganor.
This bilateral meeting falls within the framework of the Abrahamic Peace Accords sponsored by the United States of America, he added.
