Tripoli – GNU Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries Nasreddin Al-Fazzani met with Minister of Culture Salem Al-Alam on Saturday to discuss ways to strengthen partnership and cooperation in support of national development.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters in Tripoli. Both ministers emphasized the importance of closer collaboration, highlighting culture as a key factor in attracting tourism. They stressed that the launch of the Cultural Tourist Caravan offers an important opportunity to showcase Libya’s national identity and promote its cultural and heritage legacy.
The two sides reviewed the main program for the caravan, the selected stops, and ways to involve cultural institutions, artists, and artisans. Their goal is to offer a comprehensive experience that combines tourism and culture, and to highlight the cultural and heritage diversity across Libyan cities and regions.
The meeting concluded with an agreement that the success of the caravan depends on coordinated, ongoing efforts between the ministries. The initiative aims to set a model for institutional cooperation in promoting cultural heritage, boosting domestic tourism, and strengthening national identity as part of Libya’s cultural and tourism development goals.
