Turkish ambassador to visit Benghazi next week, says DPM

Prime Minister thwarted elections by running for office, says his deputy

Libya’s First Deputy Prime Minister Hussein al-Qatrani said the Turkish ambassador to Libya will visit Benghazi next week to discuss reopening the Turkish consulate in the Eastern city.

“I invited the Turkish Foreign Minister to visit the Eastern region during my meeting with the Turkish ambassador in Tripoli yesterday,” al-Qatrani pointed out.

He added that the ambassador invited him to visit Turkey, and he may visit it at the end of this month.

The First Deputy Prime Minister also said he will visit Russia next week.
