Twitter has recently suspended the account of Libya Al-Ahrar, a Libyan TV channel based in Turkey, in conjunction with the release of a report by Facebook’s parent company Meta which revealed the removal of fake Turkey-based accounts targeting audience in Libya.
However, it is noteworthy that verified Facebook account of Libya Al-Ahrar remains active on the platform, which indicates that the suspension of the channel’s Twitter account could be unrelated to the Meta report.
