The Libyan political activist, Mohamed Eljarh, said that UN deprived the Libyan people of having access to annex 13 of the UN Security Council’s Panel of Experts’ (PoE) report that detailed all corruption and bribing incidents inside the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF).
“It has been confirmed to me that the investigation by the PoE also found corrupt conduct among some of the staff of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL),” Eljarh tweeted on Wednesday.
“It is crucial for Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Acting UN envoy to Libya Stepanie Williams to address this urgently and be forthcoming with the Libyan people,” he added.
“The LPDF episode took corruption in Libya to a whole new level and the UN is partially to blame,” Eljarh pointed out.
