The Special Representative of the U.N. Secretary-General, Abdoulaye Bathily, will brief the Security Council about Libya on April 18, according to the council’s agenda.
In addition to Bathily, Kimihiro Ishikani, chairman of the U.N. Sanctions Committee on Libya, will also provide briefing about his committees activities.
Following the briefings, both men will hold consultations with the council’s member states in a closed session.
This would be the first Security Council session on Libya in April. During this month, Russia will share the council’s presidency.
