Benghazi – The technical committee for implementing the “Ru’ya” smart mobility and inclusive support project at the University of Benghazi held its first meeting to discuss moving the project from concept to practical application. The committee reviewed requirements for smart mobility, accessibility, and comprehensive support within the university.
The meeting took place Sunday at the office of the university’s general registrar, led by Professor Abdullah Fatallah Al-Sheikhi, in accordance with the university president’s decision No. 1481 of 2026. Committee members present included Professor Zainab Mahmoud Mohammed, Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al-Fakhri, Professor Ahmed Massoud Al-Traiki, Engineer Ruba Al-Sharif Muftah, and Professor Iman Hamad Al-Tabooli.
During the meeting, the committee examined the concept of the “Ru’ya” project, which is being advanced by the registrar’s office through the social services department. They discussed the project’s objectives, components, and the actual needs related to smart mobility, accessibility, and inclusive support across university facilities.
The committee also addressed the initial framework for implementing the project, priorities, technical and human resource requirements, and ways to coordinate with relevant parties. The discussions aimed at creating actionable steps and effective solutions to benefit students, staff, and faculty.
At the end of the meeting, the committee emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination with related organizations and institutions. Members highlighted the need to secure necessary technical and technological support to ensure the project proceeds according to a clear vision, promoting an inclusive university and improving access for all.
