U.S. Special Envoy for Libya Richard Norland has said his country is “pleased at renewal of UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) mandate for one year and pledges full support to SRSG Abdoulaye Bathily in his efforts to restore momentum on elections.”
The UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution on Friday extending the mandate of UNSMIL for another year until October 31, 2023.
