The United States has proposed dividing the Libyan elections into two rounds, according to which, the first round of presidential elections would take place on 24 December, along with parliamentary elections, and then a second and final round on 15 September 2022, according to The Africa Report.
Citing an obtained document, the Paris-based monthly magazine said the U.S. presented the proposal to France, Britain, Germany and Italy.
This comes as Libya still struggle to decide on a constitutional basis for the December elections.
