Benghazi – The Deputy Head of the Health and Environment Committee of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Zarqa, called for the development of standards for the Health Institutions Accreditation and Monitoring Authority, during a meeting he held with members of the Authority’s board of directors today, Tuesday, in Benghazi.
The meeting was held to discuss several topics, including the committee formed to prepare the executive regulations for the Authority. Hassan Al-Zarqa stressed the need to consider the criteria for sovereign positions in the formation of the Authority, in addition to the importance of the Authority’s external representation adhering to standards that elevate the standing of this vital institution.
He emphasized that developing these standards would contribute to raising the Authority’s profile at both the Arab and international levels, expressing the importance of strengthening the Authority’s role in ensuring the quality of health services and increasing the efficiency of health institutions in Libya.
