341 migrants intercepted and disembarked in Tripoli, says Libyan Interior Ministry

341 migrants intercepted and disembarked in Tripoli, says Libyan Interior Ministry

The Libyan Interior Ministry has announced that the Coast Guard managed to intercept 341 migrants of different nationalities, including 8 women and 9 children.

They were transferred to the Migrants’ Disembarkation Point at Tripoli Sea Port, the Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Humanitarian and medical assistance was provided to the migrants, legal measures were taken against them and handed over to the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency, it added.
