427 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 11 percent of the infection rate, according to a Tuesday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC).
The center also said that 8 people died of the virus, while 1,889 have recovered during the same reporting period.
NDCD reported that 130 people are in “critical condition”.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 372,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 345,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,456 people. Over million people received one dose of the vaccination, while more than 658,000 others were vaccinated with two doses.
