At least 57 migrants drowned on Monday after their boat capsized off the Libyan shores, near the western city of Khoms, said the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
“According to survivors brought to shore by fishermen and the coast guard, at least 20 women and two children were among those who drowned,” said Safa Msehli, the IOM spokeswoman, via Twitter.
