Benghazi – Consultant Fouad Al-Awam announced a significant development. He is the Director General of the Exhibitions and Conferences Department. He also serves as the Executive Director of Emaar Libya for Exhibitions and Conferences. Al-Awam declared the activation of a cooperation agreement. This agreement was signed between Egypt’s General Authority for Exhibitions and its Libyan counterpart. The goal is to enhance economic cooperation. It also aims to stimulate the exhibition sector in both nations.
Al-Awam explained this in a statement to the Libyan News Agency. The agreement’s activation begins with the “Made in Egypt” exhibition. This marks the first outcome of this cooperation. The exhibition will boost trade exchange. It will also promote Egyptian industrial products within the Libyan market.
He noted that relevant authorities have started preparations. The exhibition is scheduled for 2026. Libya for Exhibitions and Conferences will organize the event. This will be in coordination with relevant bodies. It will include broad participation from Egyptian industrial companies.
Al-Awam also highlighted his appointment. He is now the director of the Egyptian Union’s office for Investor Associations and Institutions in Libya. This move will strengthen joint coordination mechanisms. It will support the success of future economic events.
He detailed the Egyptian Union’s membership. It includes about 60 investor associations. These are from various Egyptian governorates. The union represents over 40,000 industrial institutions. This indicates the expected scale of participation in joint exhibitions.
Al-Awam affirmed the agreement’s importance. Activating it is a practical step. It aims to expand investment and trade cooperation between Libya and Egypt. It also revitalizes the exhibition movement. Exhibitions are key tools for supporting the national economy.
