Benghazi Education Oversight: Teacher competency enhancement courses will commence early next January

Benghazi – Dr. Belaid Khalifa is the Supervisor of Education for Benghazi Municipality. He confirmed the launch of specialized courses. These courses aim to enhance the efficiency of teachers. They will also improve the educational process within the municipality. The launch is set for early January 2026.

The Education Supervisor’s confirmation came during an extensive meeting. The meeting took place on Thursday. Attendees included the head of the Education Competency Improvement Project Committee. Also present were the Director of the Human Resources Office. The Head of the Media Department attended. Directors of educational services offices from various municipal areas participated. Several training specialists also joined the meeting.

During the meeting, the Benghazi Education Supervisor emphasized the initiative’s importance. He called it a pioneering national model for institutional work. It reflects dedication and responsibility in serving education. The initiative will improve educational outcomes. It will enhance pedagogical performance. It will also build the capacities of teachers. Educational cadres will also benefit.

The Education Supervisor lauded the support from Engineer Belgasem Haftar. Mr. Haftar is the Director-General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund. His support is crucial for the initiative’s success. The initiative focuses on investing in teachers. Teachers are considered the cornerstone of the educational process.

He affirmed that the initiative’s outcomes will mark a new phase. This will be a phase of organized educational work. It aims to create a true core for positive change. This comprehensive change will impact education in Benghazi. It will also pave the way for nationwide implementation of this experience.
