The General Electricity Company announced it is rapidly completing major overhaul work at the Al-Kufra 132 kV transformer station. The work is nearing completion. This effort is part of the company’s initiatives to improve grid efficiency and enhance stability across various cities and regions. The project falls under the supervision of the General Administration for Power Transmission, the Eastern Power Transmission Department, and specialized maintenance and prevention teams.
According to the company’s media office, the maintenance work included replacing circuit breakers and operating panels. A major overhaul was also performed on other station components. This was done in accordance with approved technical standards. The aim is to boost the station’s efficiency and improve its operational performance. This will ensure a continuous power supply and greater stability for the electricity grid in Al-Kufra and its surrounding areas.
The operating unit and the maintenance and prevention technicians overseeing the project were honored. This recognition acknowledged their efforts in monitoring and executing field operations.
