The Agricultural Police in the Sahil Municipality of Jabal al-Akhdar arrested a number of violators who built unauthorized structures near wadi paths, in addition to encroaching on agricultural lands, dividing them into illegal residential plots, and digging wells without licenses.
The Sahil Agricultural Police Center explained that these operations were part of ongoing field tours conducted by the center’s patrols, led by the center’s chief, to monitor unauthorized construction and prevent encroachment on agricultural lands within its jurisdiction.
The center’s administration confirmed, in a statement to the Libyan government’s Agricultural Police Agency, that the violators have been arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal procedures. It stressed the continuation of its field campaigns to protect agricultural lands and prevent all forms of encroachment to preserve the public interest.
