Al-Ahly Benghazi and Al-Hilal draw in the top match of Group C

Benghazi – Libyan football fields witnessed a busy round of matches today. The games featured balanced contests. Results were close. This reflected a competitive level among the teams. Tactical caution prevailed in some matches. Others showcased excellent footballing performances. Benghazi International Stadium hosted a Group C summit on Thursday.

The match was between Al-Ahly Benghazi and Al-Hilal. It ended in a goalless draw. The game was dominated by tactical struggle. Physical clashes were also prominent. Both teams missed real scoring opportunities. At Derna Municipal Stadium, Darnes hosted Al-Taawon. This was part of Group C competitions. The match also ended in a goalless draw.

The game was marked by defensive discipline. There were few real scoring chances. Both teams settled for one point each. At Al-Nahr Al-Sina’i Stadium, home team Al-Dhahra secured a valuable 2-1 victory over Al-Sabah. This was in Group A competitions. Wayo and Ayoub Al-Zlitini scored for Al-Dhahra. Aimable Nsabimana scored Al-Sabah’s goal. The match featured a fast pace. There was clear attacking presence. In Misrata, Al-Suwaihli continued their strong home performances. They achieved a deserved two-nil victory over Al-Khums Club. Otto John and Mohammed Al-Tabbal scored the goals. Al-Suwaihli confirmed their technical superiority during the match.

They also dominated the play. Thursday’s matches concluded in Tripoli. Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Madina drew 1-1. Mohammed Al-Munir opened the scoring for Al-Ahly Tripoli. He scored from a penalty kick. Amjad Al-Ghashim then equalized for Al-Madina. The encounter was competitive until the final minutes. Four matches will be held on Friday. These are part of Group B. Al-Olympi will host Al-Shomou’ on their home ground. Al-Tarsana will welcome Ittihad Gharyan at Al-Nahr Al-Sina’i Stadium. In Group D, Al-Murooj will face Khaleej Sirte at their stadium. Al-Tahaddy will play Al-Nasr. This match will be at Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi.
