State Council member, Mansour Al-Hassadi, called on the council’s members to fulfill their national role and to communicate and reach consensus with the House of Representatives to break the political stalemate from which the country is suffering, stressing the importance of cooperation between the two legislative institutions to ensure the stability of the political process.
In a statement published by Al-Masar TV on Thursday, Al-Hassadi emphasized the rejection of any attempt to strip the State Council of its will or impose hegemony over it by any party or current, pointing out that the council is an independent body that represents all spectrums of the Libyan people and works to protect their interests and national aspirations.
