The President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed al-Menfi, met with the President of the High Council of State, Mohammed Takala. According to the council’s media office, the meeting involved a discussion of the latest political, security, and economic developments and the challenges facing the current phase, with an emphasis on the importance of national consensus to complete the political track and achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people.
During the meeting, the political vision presented by the President of the Presidential Council in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly was reviewed. They also discussed ways to accelerate the pace of work on unifying sovereign positions in a manner that enhances the performance of state institutions and ensures their effectiveness.
The two sides also addressed the efforts being made to support stability in the capital, Tripoli, and affirmed the continuation of consultation and joint coordination in a way that serves the state’s highest interests and creates the appropriate climate for holding the upcoming constitutional and electoral entitlements.
