Political activist Hassan Al-Saghir commented on a post by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, in which he discussed his memories of the 2011 events, describing its content as “marketing illusion.”
Al-Saghir explained in a post on his Facebook account that many of the claims regarding his involvement in political and judicial events have not been substantiated in local and international courts.
The activist pointed out that the person promoting these claims “cannot even move freely or visit his family,” and that he is wanted by the International Criminal Court and has not appeared before the Libyan Criminal Court after the Supreme Court overturned the verdict against him.
He added that the testimony attributed to him in a case and ruling in France was not considered in the sentencing of former French President Sarkozy, who was not convicted of receiving funds from his father’s regime or from abroad to finance his election campaign.
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi had published a post talking about his memories from 2011, saying he was left in the desert, wounded, and hunted by NATO planes, while Sarkozy was sleeping in the Élysée Palace.
He indicated in his post that the past fourteen years have witnessed his efforts to reach his current situation, explaining that today he sleeps in his beautiful room while Sarkozy spends time in a solitary confinement cell, concluding his post by saying: “Praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the greatest.”
