Derna – The Balkhodour Bridge and the Wadi Abu Mahboul (Boualmahboul) Bridge projects were inaugurated, Friday, in the city of Derna, in implementation of the vision of the Director-General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Engineer Belqasim Khalifa Haftar, as part of efforts to reconstruct the city and develop its infrastructure following the damage it sustained.
The Balkhodour Bridge is located at the southwestern entrance of the city of Derna, where all construction work has been completed according to the highest engineering standards.
Meanwhile, the Wadi Abu Mahboul Bridge is being constructed on the coastal road linking the cities of Sousse and Derna, and is considered one of the vital projects within the comprehensive reconstruction plan supervised by the Fund.
These projects are part of the reconstruction strategy aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing traffic connectivity between the city’s neighborhoods, in addition to raising the level of traffic safety and supporting urban recovery and sustainable development efforts in the region.
