Tripoli – The Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, in an expanded meeting with the Head of the Judicial Police Agency, Major General Abdul Fattah Dabboub, discussed the challenges related to the execution of judicial rulings and formulated strategies to address them within a framework that preserves the integrity of procedures and enhances the effectiveness of the justice system.
The meeting, held at the Attorney General’s office, addressed the need for a comprehensive update of the correctional and rehabilitation institution system, from both an institutional and human resources perspective, to ensure compliance with approved national and international standards in the field of criminal justice.
The Attorney General stressed the importance of coordinating in this regard with the Criminal Research and Training Center of the Public Prosecution Authority, which was established to support the capabilities of the justice system and enhance its efficiency.
Also during the meeting, the observations of the Judicial Police Inspection Department were reviewed, along with a discussion of the performance of the Case Progression Monitoring Unit at the Attorney General’s Office. Counselor Al-Sour directed that the recorded observations be addressed and necessary measures be taken to ensure performance development and achieve institutional discipline.
This meeting comes in the context of the Public Prosecution’s efforts to strengthen the rule of law, improve the performance of institutions involved in executing judgments, and guarantee the rights of inmates in line with legal and humanitarian standards.
