Hassan Al-Zarqa, the Deputy Head of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives, stated that they have several reservations about the visit of the Head of the Administrative Control Authority to Tripoli Central Hospital.
In exclusive statements to the “Libya Alhadath” channel, Al-Zarqa pointed out that there is significant neglect in the hospital and that it requires review, follow-up, and close monitoring.
He confirmed that they have written to the Speaker of the House of Representatives to open an investigation and form a committee to follow up on the developments.
Al-Zarqa noted that the actions of the Head of the Administrative Control Authority constituted clear mockery and an inappropriate display towards the medical staff, auxiliary personnel, and the hospital administration. He added, “We have submitted a memorandum to the Oversight Committee of the House of Representatives to summon the Head of the Authority and question him about this method.”
Al-Zarqa condemned the insult to all doctors and medical staff in Libya specifically, and the world in general.
Finally, Al-Zarqa noted that the budget allocated to the hospital is insufficient to meet its requirements, as it is the second-largest hospital in Tripoli.
