Libya’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdulmutalib Thabit, said that the role of the League of Arab States is important for supporting the political process in Libya.
Thabit added that this important role contributes to the safe passage of Libya from this difficult stage in its history.
The permanent representative of Libya welcomed the follow-up of the Arab League, and the attention of its Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit to the situation in Libya, after a statement issued by him.
Thabit called the Secretary-General of the League and representatives of Arab countries for continuous support through holding intensive and continuous meetings to follow up on the situation in Libya, to bring Libya to safety, through consensual presidential and parliamentary elections.
