Tripoli – Attahadi University received the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy in Libya and the Russian Cultural Attaché this Thursday, as part of its efforts to enhance the level of medical education and open up to international expertise.
The visit included an official meeting between the two sides, which addressed ways to develop academic cooperation and exchange scientific expertise. It was agreed to open horizons of cooperation to include the fields of scientific research, training, and development, as a continuation of the program of previous visits that included Saint Petersburg University.
The university also received an official invitation to visit a Russian university, reflecting the two parties’ keenness to consolidate means of cooperation and expand academic partnerships to serve the development of medical education in Libya.
Furthermore, Russia has offered 15 postgraduate scholarships at Russian public universities for outstanding students of Attahadi Medical University in the fields of dentistry and pharmacy.
