The political situation and the impact of the economic recession were at the center of talks yesterday between Prime Minister-designate Fathi Bashagha and a group of businessmen in Misurata, Bashagha revealed on Monday.
The Misurata-native discussed with businessmen from his hometown the “challenges faced by the private sector in light of the circumstances the country is going through” as well as his government’s plan to “revitalize the economy”.
“We talked about developing a comprehensive scientific strategy to adjust the exchange rate to alleviate the suffering of citizens and business owners alike,” Bashagha said via Twitter.
The 60-year-old premier emphasized his government’s support for “the private sector and encouragement of partnership between the private and public sectors, as well as partnership between local and foreign companies.”
