Libyan Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha revealed on Friday that he is in Washington for “positive talks with senior US officials”.
“Our focus remains on peaceful solutions, renouncing violence, and building a trusted path forward for free and transparent presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya,” the premier said via Twitter, without disclosing the identities of the American officials he met with.
“I remain committed to serving the Libyan people, and ensuring Libya’s unity and security,” he added.
