Libyan Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, stressed Tuesday that the political and institutional divide opened the door wide to financial and administrative corruption.
During an expanded meeting in Sirte, in the presence of Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh, Bashagha made it clear that the legislative authority had not adhered to the oversight of the terms and principles of the disbursement of public funds.
The Prime Minister stressed the equitable distribution of budgets allocated to municipal councils to raise the level of services to citizens.
He indicated that the proposed budget draft will ensure a fair and direct distribution of funds to municipal councils to contribute with the central administration in raising the level of services for the Libyan people everywhere without any preference or discrimination between them.
