Benghazi – The Greater Benghazi Security Directorate has revealed details surrounding the disappearance of a child, following more than two weeks of intensive investigation. Authorities ultimately discovered the child’s body.
According to a statement from the Security Directorate, a review of all available evidence led investigators to new information. This prompted them to summon a suspect, identified as (N.A.), for further questioning. During the interrogation, she admitted to concealing the circumstances of the child’s death and confessed to burying the body in the yard of a house in the Al-Qarya – Al-Masakin area.
Officers from the General Investigations Department immediately went to the indicated location. In the presence of the public prosecutor and forensic experts, they recovered the child’s body where the suspect had guided them. All required legal procedures were taken.
The Security Directorate affirmed its ongoing efforts to uncover the truth and pursue anyone implicated in crimes affecting the safety and security of citizens. It also announced plans to publish further details and the suspect’s confession on its official page in due course.
