Washington – U.S. President’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Masad Boulos, welcomed the United Nations Security Council’s call for further progress on unifying Libyan institutions and supporting the 4+4 Joint Committee agreement.
Boulos said on X that the initiative to unify Libya advances this goal by supporting integrated political, economic, military, and security institutions under a single executive authority.
He added that U.S. efforts complement the work of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and back a Libyan-led path toward holding elections.
Boulos concluded his statement by reaffirming that the United States remains committed to working with the Libyan people for a stable, unified, and prosperous Libya.
