The National Development Agency has signed a memorandum of understanding with the French company Bureau Veritas, on the sidelines of the Libyan-French Economic Summit for Investment and Development held in the city of Sirte. This step aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of quality assurance and control, inspection, technical verification, and the application of international standards in the Agency’s projects.
The memorandum comes to benefit from the international expertise that Bureau Veritas possesses in testing, inspection, and certification services, and to support the Agency in raising levels of quality, safety, and compliance with standards and specifications in developmental and strategic projects. Bureau Veritas is one of the leading global institutions specialized in these fields, having been founded in 1828 and operating through a wide international network.
The signing of the memorandum represents one of the practical outcomes of the Libyan-French Economic Summit, and comes within the framework of the Agency’s orientation towards expanding its partnerships with specialized international institutions and leveraging French expertise in developing mechanisms for technical oversight and ensuring the quality of project implementation.
