Libyan exports fell by 11.7 percent in the first half of 2023 to 17.3 billion dollars from 19.6 billion dollars in the same period of 2022, the Central Bank of Libya said in a report.
According to the bank, Libyan exports to European Union countries reached 69.8 percent of the total. The country’s exports to Asia, meanwhile, reached 16.7 percent, while exports to America reached 3.4 percent.
“Italy tops the list with trade of nearly $4.704 billion, of which $914.8 million is imports and the remaining $3.79 billion is exports,” the report said.
