The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khalid Khalifa, called for the necessity of uniting the ranks among all tribes of the southern region and moving forward towards achieving stability, development, and reconstruction.
During his visit to the city of Kufra, he emphasized the importance of reconciliation and reparations between the tribes, praising their historical role and their continuous support for the armed forces.
On the security front, the Lieutenant General held a meeting with the joint security room tasked with securing the region to review the workflow of the security agencies and the challenges and difficulties they face.
The meeting discussed ways of effective coordination between security agencies and military units to ensure the enhancement of the region’s security and stability.
The visit’s agenda also included a meeting for the Chief of the General Staff with representatives of humanitarian and international organizations operating in the south, praising their humanitarian and service efforts in the region and affirming the armed forces’ support for the work of these organizations.
